GUIDELINES CO-OPERATION BETWEEN SCHOOL AND HOME
Its is expected that:
1. Parents support the school´s goals.
2. Parents support their children so that they respect the school rules.
3. Parents help their children so they:
• arrive at school on time
• arrive at school well-rested
• remember their sports-clothes
• remember books, pencils, erasers, and other school equipment
• cover their schoolbooks and take care of them
4. Pupils have eaten a proper breakfast before coming to school. They should
have fruit and/or lunch with them. Lunches should be packed in a plastic bag to prevent books from getting spoiled.
5. Parents support their children, to the best of their ability, in making sure that home-
work is completed and delivered on time.
6. Parents contact the school concerning absence due to illness (telephone:
39292937).
7. Parents and school contact each other if something occurs which is important in
understanding a pupil´s behaviour.( Contact book and telephone)
8. Pupils are excused from school only as an exception and only with the principal's
permission. Holidays and trips must be planned in accordance with the school's holiday plan.
Remember that the yearly “School-Saturdays” are compulsory.
IMPORTANT: By law the school must notify the Ministry of Education when a child
is away from school.
9. Parents are expected to participate in the arrangements and meetings held by the
school.
10. Parent-representatives cooperate with the class teachers on school arrangements
and the planning of these. Also, the parent-representatives are urged to work towards furthering a close cooperation between the class teachers, pupils and parents.
11. The school's parents and teachers are loyal to the school and to each other.
