POETRY IN WRITING LESSONS
Here are some examples of the poems we wrote about the seasons:
Spring
Flowers are blooming
Butterflies are here and there
Bees are busy too
Summer
Roots grow to big trees
Seeds grow to big fruit trees
Plants will grow bigger
Autumn
Leaves drop from big trees
Piles of leaves in hollows
Sad watching them die
Winter
Towns are covered in snow
Soft snow dropping from the sky
Paths covered in snow
By Isaiah
The seasons work together, apart they are not grand.
Spring's hands come to lift the frost from the crisp buds,
the clear sky throws wind at your face and nips your warm ears,
the foggy skyline makes refreshing air appear.
Summer comes to thaw the last cold shots of spring,
the blazing sun brings sweat to your forehead,
the fresh breeze cools you.
Autumn brings the dampness to your basement,
the red leaves cover the streets,
the whipping fresh air helps you pull out scratchy warm wool sweaters for ... winter!
Winter comes in on a gust of chilly air and gives you goosebumps down your back,
the crystal snow clings to the brown grass and slowly spring comes again!
The seasons work together apart they are not grand!

HAIKU
Blazing hot season
Making the warmness of heat
Wishing for coldness
Leaves falling season
Seeing orange and brown leaves
And also breezy
Freezing cold season
Making the coldness of wind
Wishing for coldness
Beautiful gardens
Bees are collecting nectar
The Sun shines brightly
